This is a Paula Deen Recipe and it was AMAZING. No more regular Spaghetti for us.
2 Cups canned diced tomatoes
2 cups tomato sauce
1/2 cup diced onion
1/2 cup diced green bell pepper
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
1 12 tsp Italian seasoning
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1 1/2 tsp seasoned salt
1 1/2 tsp sugar
1 1/2 lbs ground beef
8 oz Angel Hair Pasta
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
1 cup grated Monterrey jack cheese
Combine the tomatoes, tomato sauce, 1 cup water, onion, bell pepper, garlic, parsley, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, garlic powder, seasoned salt, and sugar in a stockpot. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce and let simmer covered for 1 hour.
Cook pasta according to package directions.
Cook the ground beef over medium high heat until no longer pink. Add to the stock pot and simmer for 20 more minutes.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Drain pasta. Mix pasta with sauce, layer in cooking dish with cheese. Top with remaining cheese, cook for 30 minutes uncovered.
