Grilled Asparagus

If you have never had grilled asparagus, it is something you have to try. Another lineman passed this little gem on to us, and The Lineman and I cook it on a regular basis. The Lineman is not a huge fan of vegetables, but this asparagus he could eat a bushel of by himself. I always throw the asparagus on the grill first because it normally takes longer than the meat.




INGREDIENTS:
1 Bushel of Asparagus
2-3 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp seasoning salt
1/2 tsp garlic powder

DIRECTIONS:
Cut the ends of the asparagus off, if there is any purple showing cut it off to the green. In a Ziploc combine asparagus, olive oil, (depending on how big your bushel is you will need 2-3 tbsp olive oil, start with 2 and go from there), and seasoning. Mix well in bag and place in fridge. I normally marinate all day, but do a minimum of 30 minutes.

Preheat grill on medium heat. Place asparagus on grill over low-med heat for about 20 minutes. I rotate mine every 3-4 minutes so they cook evenly. Asparagus and Steak always go well together in my book.
